The 2025 US Health Care Crisis

Sen. Rand Paul recently published an article with his proposal to help the ailing United States health insurance industry.  LINK  What Rand Paul is missing Sen. Paul's article seems to frames the whole health industry issues in terms of " insurance price " and does very little to face the real issue: the state of the " health care system ".   The major theme from the loudest libertarian advocate is that lowering insurance costs will result in lower health costs.  And thereby providing an unproven idea of a more efficient health care.   What is missing is a through analysis of and a modern vision of the true relationship between Insurance <-> Health Care.   The basis for Sen. Paul's proposal is founded on libertarian economic theory that a free market with minimal government intervention is best for the whole.   The question is why should we believe this?  How does returning to a `free market` health system, ie. going back...

The ethicacy of gifting to avoid paying taxes

Recently, I discovered that I can gift up to $19K (2025) per child tax free - every year.   After investigating I confirmed this and thought about using gifting as a means of avoiding taxes.   In the end it is not that easy.  In this recent case, I wanted to help a daughter with a gift toward the purchase of a new home as an "early inheritance disbursement from my estate".  So I initiated several conversations with trusted financial advisors to learn about using gifting as a means of avoiding ALL taxes from my IRA .    Then, a key questioned was posed to me : "do you oppose paying taxes?". This raised the bigger question - what is my social responsibility to contribute back into the welfare of the state. Another advisor clarified the morally: "a gift is a gift" - and should be given without expecting to receive anything in return.    Good advise but in this case there are 3 parties in the gifting :  the receiver,  myself,...

An ethical AI model is a woke AI model

There have been many recent articles on the negative impact of AI - from aiding suicide, murder and enabling evil acts in humans.   2024.10.25 -  An AI chatbot pushed a teen to kill himself, a lawsuit against its creator alleges 2025.08.13 -  Quantamagazine: Sloppy Code to Evil 2025.08.27 -  Parents of teenager who took his own life sue OpenAI   The quantamagazine(2) article speaks about a "new science of emergent misalignment”

Economic systems as interconnected energy fields

Image
I have to get something off my chest.  Let's begin with the fundamental quantum principle that everything is energy.  Einstein's equation, E=MC**2 can be written M = E/C**2, ie. matter is a manifestation of energy .  This continues to be re-enforced as humanity dwells into the inner depths of quantum reality.   Ok, so if the physical world is made up of energy and from that energy comes humanity, then I believe that the abstract ideas (ie. knowledge, information, etc.) held by humanity are in some way a form of energy.  Ie. each idea itself across all of humanity is energy flowing in our collective reality.  Morality, norms, theology, science, financials, laws and so on - are ALL energy.  Phew, ok glad we got that settled.  If so, then the economic systems - capitalism, social democracy, communism, etc. - are all, in reality, systems of energy distribution. From what we understand "energy distribution" in the quantum reality is the means of d...

A life of stewardship, A life of awesomeness

I was pondering how men approach life in so many different ways.  This led me to reflect on differences between a life of stewardship and a life of awesomeness . This post may sound very bias and superior and come across as full of judgement instead of seeking to share one man's wisdom.  Key is that when you've lived a life of stewardship you know that you've lived a life of doing without certain things. When I see so many acting on impulses and following so many trends / fads, e.g.: collecting Scotch,  acquiring toy after toy,  and seeking one experience after another.  Collecting and acquiring things in our world is not bad, per se; it is about "without limits".   Yes, such a life of passing one's limits offers experiences of so many wonderful things.  It is the lack of awareness of human limit that I call a life of awesomeness .  (While other men learn to go the limits of what a long life may require. ) Awesomeness.  So many wonderfu...

Lementations 2025

This blog is a copy of the Book of Lamentations with a few word changes to reflect modern (US) times (2025).   The changes are at the bottom.   CH1 Worthless, Cheap, Abject! 1 Oh, oh, oh . . .  How empty the city, once teeming with people. A widow, this city, once in the front rank of nations, once queen of the ball, she’s now a drudge in the kitchen. 2 She cries herself to sleep each night, tears soabusiness leader her pillow. No one’s left among her lovers to sit and hold her hand. Her friends have all dumped her. 3 After years of pain and hard labor, Democrat has gone into exile. She camps out among the nations, never feels at home. Hunted by all, she’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. 4 Lady Liberty’s roads weep, empty of pilgrims headed to the feasts. All her city gates are deserted, her politicians in despair. Her virgins are sad. How bitter her fate. 5 Her enemies have become her masters. Her foes are living it up ...

Seeing AI through history

Image
A lot of talk on AI and the future... take time to listen to the outlook from  Google CEO on AI .   With notions of metrics of "smartness".  Ie.  Singularity - AI can regenerate itself passing knowledge to the next generation thereby surpasses human intelligence, leading to rapid and uncontrollable technological advancements. General Intelligence - when machines are as smart as the smartest human in any field. Super Intelligence - AI doesn't need to listen to humans and because it surpasses the sum of all human intelligence. The forecast is that we can not comprehend nor describe the future world made up of super intelligence power with our human language today.  One is tempted to look at humanity relative to "recent times" using today's metrics as the chart below illustrates in the " Human history " and the impact of the Industrial Revolution. We can make any interpretation we wish from such historical insight.  What strikes me is how seeing such ...
