Stuck in Serenity betweem Liberalism and Realism
I discovered there is even a bit of controversy around who authored the Serenity Prayer. The earliest reference is from 1942 where an AA member shared something from a NY newspaper's orbituary column.
The following was found when one googles author “Niebuhr's contributions to political philosophy include using the resources of theology to argue for political realism. His work has also significantly influenced international relations theory, leading many scholars to move away from idealism and embrace realism. A large number of scholars, including political scientists, political historians, and theologians, have noted his influence on their thinking. Aside from academics, activists such as Myles Horton and Martin Luther King Jr., and numerous politicians have also cited his influence on their thought, including Hillary Clinton, Hubert Humphrey, and Dean Acheson, as well as presidents Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter. Inquery to Interactive Visual Graph
The above triggered my analytical/AI (ADHD?) curiosities to dig a bit further, ie. exactly what is liberalism, realism and IRT(Int'l Relations Theory). As the story deepened I asked AI (claud.ai) to provide a summary of the threads around these concepts. THEN! I fed that into a Graph DB to produce the interactive visual below. Crude but interesting. And then I feed the visuals (.html) into this blog.

you can interact with the graph below. You can zoom in/out, hover over circles (concepts), squares(theory), stars (people), etc to get more info.
The fun part is following threads. The colors are meant to show the treads of the 5 major disciplines:
NOTE The big yellow dot (bottom) is the creation of the serenity prayer
